It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the 7th European Summer School in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, jointly organised by the European Association of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (EACPT) and the Greek Society of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology. The Summer School will take place in Alexandroupolis, Greece from Saturday 19 to Tuesday 22 September 2009. The department of Pharmacology of the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace has undertaken the direct responsibility for hosting the Summer School.
The EACPT Summer School aims to improve the knowledge and skills of young colleagues interested in Clinical Pharmacology. A broad spectrum of topics will be offered by distinguished lecturers from various European countries. These topics will include an overview of all essential knowledge in Clinical pharmacology, and also more focused lectures on Pharmacogenomics and Clinical trials in South/Eastern Europe.
Alexander Beach Hotel and Convention Centre, the venue of the Summer School, is a 5-star hotel adjacent to the beach and provides a modern conference centre and facilities as well as excellent opportunities for relaxation. The whether in this area in September is still very pleasant and participation in the School can be combined with a few days of relaxation in the sun.
Alexandroupolis, guest town for this Summer School, is a seaside town located in Thrace, at the eastern corner of North Greece, very close to the Greek border with Turkey and Bulgaria. It combines the charm and relaxed environment of a small seaside town with a multicultural atmosphere due to its near border location.
The Organisers have made every effort to keep the Registration fees low, in order to make it possible for many young scientists to participate in this extraordinary Summer School. The overall cost of the course is estimated to be about 350 € (including accommodation and meals in the venue). A number of grants will be made available and will soon be announced at the site of the Summer School.
